South Pontotoc will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Belmont in at SOUTH PONTOTOC HS at 7:00 PM.
South Pontotoc had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Vardaman 33-12.
Meanwhile, Belmont had to kick off their season on the road last Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past Smithville with a 16-12 win.
Their wins bumped Belmont to 1-0 and South Pontotoc to 1-0. Their offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a South Pontotoc defensive front that amassed 8 sacks against Vardaman last week.
