On Friday, The Castle View Sabercats faced the Rock Canyon Jaguars in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Castle View took a 10-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rock Canyon. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Castle View in their matchups with Rock Canyon: they've now lost three in a row.
Zach Bitton threw for 41 yards while completing 100% of his passes. Camden Tobler was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Rock Canyon can attribute much of their success to Tyler Meyer, who rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown.
Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Rock Canyon, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-3.
Castle View will be playing in front of their home fans against Highlands Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Highlands Ranch is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Rock Canyon, they will head out on the road to face off against ThunderRidge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
