Model waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Unity Christian Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Model might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Unity Christian scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Model's offense was headlined by Catherine Betz and Maddie Rec, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Landry Johnson and her 13 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Model's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Unity Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Model has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Woodstock on the 23rd. As for Unity Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Haralson County on the 23rd.
