Sachse is a perfect 9-0 against South Garland since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Sachse not only won two weeks ago, but they posted their biggest win since October 25, 2024 (when they won 55-21). They put the hurt on North Garland with a sharp 35-10 victory. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Raiders are ranked 680th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sachse's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dirk Williams Jr., who rushed for 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Those 116 rushing yards gave Williams Jr. a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Roderick Rainwater, who rushed for 116 yards and two scores on only 12 carries.
Sachse's run defense was locked in: North Garland could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Corbin Crane for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sachse's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.25 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 4.37 on average over their last three games.
Sachse's defense didn't let Christian Hampton, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Trason Haley, Walker Williams, and Hunter Malcolm, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, South Garland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against North Garland, falling 34-10.
South Garland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sachse, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Everything came up roses for Sachse against South Garland in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
