Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Waldron should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Dardanelle at 7:00 PM. Dardanelle will be strutting in after a win while Waldron will be stumbling in from a loss.
Things could have been worse for Waldron, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 20-36 loss to Elkins last Friday. Waldron's defeat came about despite a quality game from sophomore Braden Williams, who picked up 58 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Dardanelle and Pottsville. Everything came up roses for Dardanelle against Pottsville as the squad secured a 52-6 victory. With Dardanelle ahead 27-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Waldron took a serious blow against Dardanelle the last time the two teams met, falling 6-42. Can Waldron avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
