Volleyball Recap: Grovetown Gets the Win

After losing to Augusta Prep the last time they met, Grovetown decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cavaliers on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

While Grovetown won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20.

Grovetown found their leader in sophomore Adelena Marquez, who had ten digs and five aces.

Grovetown's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Augusta Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Grovetown has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Statesboro on the 28th. As for Augusta Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Aquinas on the 30th.
