Edna came into Tuesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rice Consolidated Raiders a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Cowboys, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Trevor Floyd's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

On the hitting side, Edna's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Riley Palacios, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Edna's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Rice Consolidated, they dropped their record down to 9-17 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Edna will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
