The Poudre Impalas were the 60-48 winner over the Loveland Red Wolves when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Poudre took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Loveland on Tuesday. Poudre has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Impalas players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Foster, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. Pierce Decker was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Loveland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zayne Desouza, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Desouza posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Ryder Eastin, who scored nine points.
Poudre has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Loveland, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Poudre will look to defend their home court on Friday against Monarch at 6:30 p.m. As for Loveland, they will head out on the road to face off against Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Legacy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
