After losing to the Spruce Timberwolves the last time they met, the North Dallas Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. North Dallas breezed by Spruce at home to the tune of 72-33. Given North Dallas' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 757th, while Spruce is ranked 1598th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Dallas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Johnson led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was Damarion Vaughn, who scored 11 points.
North Dallas now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Spruce, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Dallas will take on Terrell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Terrell is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Spruce will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Conrad at 8:00 p.m. on December 19th.
