Roman Catholic hasn't had much luck against Father Judge recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Cahillite will host the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Roman Catholic was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They skirted past Friends' Central 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cahillite have posted since April 22, 2024.
Luis Selles and Alex Cockerill did most of the damage at the plate: Selles got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one double, while Cockerill went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Selles has posted since back in March. Nick Migatz was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Father Judge put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Conwell-Egan Catholic. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Eagles.
The result came thanks to Nick Wolf's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Father Judge got a massive performance out of Kevin Krause, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Will Henderson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Father Judge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conwell-Egan Catholic only posted an OBP of .167.
