Basketball Recap: Lawrence North Skates Past Lawrence Central with Ease

Lawrence North won the last time they faced Lawrence Central and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lawrence North Wildcats breezed by the Lawrence Central Bears to the tune of 75-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Lawrence North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brennan Miller out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds Miller has posted since back in January. Cameron Webster was another key player, going 8 of 11 on his way to 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Lawrence North was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence Central only racked up three assists.

When it comes to explaining why Lawrence Central lost, don't look at Doron Harris. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nizyi Davis, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Lawrence North pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.5 points per game. As for Lawrence Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Lawrence North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-59 win against Greenfield-Central on the 14th. As for Lawrence Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 77-60 loss against Zionsville on the 13th.
