The North White Vikings's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over South Newton. That's another feather in the cap for North White, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Dane Hood, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of North White's points.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chayse Stillabower, who scored eight points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Marks, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
North White's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for South Newton, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North White will take on Frontier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Newton, they will be playing at home against Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
