With a playoff game on the line, the Lakeside Lions rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-49 victory over the Roughriders. The victory was familiar territory for Lakeside who now have five in a row.
Jasmine Hall and Ava Dorling certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Hall scored 16 points, while Dorling scored ten points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Curtis, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Lakeside's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roosevelt, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-39 loss vs. Seattle Prep on the 8th.
