The Founders Classical Academy Hoplites scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Great Hearts Monte Vista at home to the tune of 69-22. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Founders Classical Academy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Aslan Whyle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 34 points and ten steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Founders Classical Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Jonas Merxbauer, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The win got Founders Classical Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Great Hearts Monte Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Founders Classical Academy will head out on the road to challenge Lifegate Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Hearts Monte Vista will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Founders Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
