The Centaurus Warriors were the 47-41 winner over the Erie Tigers when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Centaurus was dealt a 66-26 loss at the hands of Erie on Tuesday. Centaurus was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.
Centaurus' loss came despite strong showings from Ingrid Lorton and Nadia Colacion. Lorton scored 12 points along with 4 steals, while Colacion scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Maddie Hartel had a dynamite game for Erie, scoring 30 points along with 5 steals. Juliet Slater was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 3 steals.
Centaurus' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Erie, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Centaurus will head out on the road to face off against Peak to Peak at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Erie, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Douglas County at 6:30 p.m.
