Arlington Christian's's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 64-42 margin over The Weber School. That's another feather in the cap for Arlington Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Arlington Christian to victory were Davon Aikens and Chezi Essel. Aikens scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Essel dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 steals. The match was Aikens' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Shamar Madden was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Arlington Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for The Weber School, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arlington Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face W D Mohammed at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. The Weber School and Atlanta Classical Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Atlanta Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Thursday.
