Pius X's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Alex Weber.
Jarrett Behrends was his usual excellent self, throwing for 381 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes for Norris. A healthy portion of that aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Alec Small.
Pius X now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Norris, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pius X will host Skutt Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skutt Catholic will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Pius X surely won't give up without a fight. As for Norris, they will challenge Standing Bear at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Norris has three straight wins, Standing Bear has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
