There's no place like home for the Ellinwood Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 63-55 win over Medicine Lodge on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ellinwood was led to victory by Mason Moore and Landon Simpson. Moore scored 22 points, while Simpson scored 22 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Simpson has scored at least 25% of Ellinwood's points. Drew Heinz was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
The win got Ellinwood back to even at 1-1. As for Medicine Lodge, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ellinwood will square off against Skyline at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Medicine Lodge, they will head out on the road to face off against Sterling on December 15th.
