Connersville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hailey Sembach, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ahniyah Bennett, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Leading Pendleton Heights to victory were Adah Hupfer and Kaycie Warfel. Hupfer dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds, while Warfel scored 30 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hupfer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Jones, who scored six points.
Connersville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Pendleton Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Connersville will be playing at home against Rushville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rushville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Pendleton Heights, they will head out on the road to challenge North Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (North Central is ranked 91st, while Pendleton Heights is ranked 67th).
