Mastery Charter North - Pickett scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Tuesday. They walked away with a 71-63 victory over John Bartram. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Mastery Charter North - Pickett got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Mitchell out in front who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Mitchell scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haseem Watson, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Maritime Academy Charter's six-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Olney by a score of 54-45. The win was just what Maritime Academy Charter needed coming off of a 86-36 loss in their prior game.
Maritime Academy Charter relied on the efforts of Zibri Miller, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Jadin Aviles, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jermaine Boone-Williams, who scored five points.
Mastery Charter North - Pickett now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Maritime Academy Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
