The University Christian Christians lost against the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. University Christian took a 35-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paxon School For Advanced Studies. While losing is never fun, University Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Paxon School For Advanced Studies is ranked 26th).
Several Christians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was MARVIN CHRISTIE, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was HENRY ARTHUR, who scored 8 points.
University Christian now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Christian will face off against Ponte Vedra at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Ponte Vedra focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Providence School is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
