The Shiloh Generals waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 70-65 W over Lanier. Given Shiloh's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Longhorns are ranked 193rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jullien Cole was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last eight times he's played. Tylis Jordan was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Shiloh is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Lanier, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-13.
Shiloh will square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lanier, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Red Elephants at 7:30 p.m. Gainesville is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
