OLIVEHURST, Calif. - The defense contributed on the scoring end for
Capital Christian (Sacramento, Calif.) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Cougars defeated Lindhurst (Olivehurst, Calif.) 62-0.
The Cougars were up 49-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Quinton Kirk in the first quarter.
Capital Christian expanded its lead to 55 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored once in the quarter on a
Justice Shelton-Mosley touchdown run.
Kirk and Shelton-Mosley ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Blazers. Kirk scored three touchdowns on the ground and Shelton-Mosley added two as well.
The Sacramento school had given up an average of 12.0 points prior to the contest. The zero points that Lindhurst ended with were well below its average of 10.7 coming into the game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 26-0 win for the Cougars.
