In this week's postseason power rankings action, one team rose to the occasion while another fell hard. We'll tackle all that (plus a new number one team) in this week's report.
Movin on Up
Stone Bridge gave both Broad Run and its quarterback (sacked 5.5 times) a rough time last week. Stone Bridge took its game against Broad Run by a confident 35 - 6 score. Two standouts for Stone Bridge were junior Jared Cole and senior Mason Tatum; the former ran for 124 yards and also punched in two touchdowns while the latter threw for 149 yards and gained 103 yards on the ground. Stone Bridge's success was rewarded with a 17-spot boost in the power rankings, the biggest improvement of any team.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Manchester and Colonial Forge, 2nd and 4th in the power rankings, respectively. Manchester came out on top against Colonial Forge with a 21 - 7 win. Even if it didn't bump Manchester up the rankings, the victory at least kept the team from dropping.
No Stoppin 'Em
Eastern View and Dinwiddie went up, up, and away last week as they combined for the highest point total (80) among all power ranked teams. Eastern View finished its game with a 45 - 35 win. The victory raised it up one spot in the power rankings.
