Casteel has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the O'Connor Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Casteel strolled past Corona del Sol with points to spare, taking the game 35-21. The victory was just what Casteel needed coming off of a 43-7 loss in their prior game.
Mason Lewis and Braden Greene were among the main playmakers for Casteel as the former rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries and the latter rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, O'Connor put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mountain Ridge 49-7 at home. 49 seems to be a good number for O'Connor as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead O'Connor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Armstrong, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Bayus, who rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 5-5.
