Baseball Recap: Forreston Gets the Win

Forreston posted their closest win since May 10, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Freeport Pretzels 14-12. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pretzels, too.

Forreston got a massive performance out of Kendall Erdmann, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Darin Greenfield, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Forreston now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Freeport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forreston will host Rivercrest at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Freeport, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Dakota at 1:00 p.m.
