Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marshall). They never let the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians get on the board and left with a 56-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Fightin' Indians: they've now won six in a row.
Marshall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Doug Johnson, who rushed for 119 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. Denijh Montgomery also helped out as he racked up 117 rushing yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Marshall was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
