You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for The Weiser Wolverines on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Fruitland out of the water with a 49-18 final score. The result was nothing new for Weiser, who have now won six games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Jayden Walker went supernova for Weiser, rushing for 74 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, while also picking up 45 receiving yards. Walker was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Brock Spencer was another key contributor, gaining 100 total yards and a touchdown.
Fruitland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Coye Coffman, who picked up 56 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Quinn Hood who picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Weiser's win was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points per game. As for Fruitland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Weiser will be playing at home against Marsh Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fruitland, they will head out on the road to face off against Teton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
