Pecos waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Raton Tigers by a score of 56-48. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 70-54 back in January.

Raton's loss came despite strong showings from Wyatt Berry and Chase Walton. Berry dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds, while Walton went 6-for-12 to rack up 12 points in addition to five boards and four blocks. Walton has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Petrini, who posted four points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Pecos' win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Raton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers face off against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Raton, they will venture away from home to take on Clayton at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Raton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
