The Girard Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. The matchup between them and Lakeview wasn't particularly close, with Girard falling 73-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

It was the first time this season that Newton scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Warner, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
