Excelsior Charter have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Campbell Hall at 6:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
Excelsior Charter took a serious blow against Granite Hills two weeks ago, falling 6-73. Excelsior Charter's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Joseph Zamora, who picked up 98 yards on the ground and accumulated 219 passing yards. Zamora has been a consistent playmaker for Excelsior Charter as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Campbell Hall were able to grind out a solid win over Vasquez last Friday, winning 19-8.
Campbell Hall's victory lifted them to 6-1 while Excelsior Charter's defeat dropped them down to 1-5. We'll find out if Campbell Hall can add another positive mark to their record or if Excelsior Charter can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Campbell Hall's step.
