Western has won 14 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Rossville has won 14 straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Panthers will welcome the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Western 2.3, Rossville 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Monday, Western earned a 5-2 win over Kokomo. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildkats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lucy George was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kylie Miller, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Lexi Dollens, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Western hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kokomo struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, Rossville got themselves on the board against Delphi Community on Thursday, but Delphi Community never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Oracles with a sharp 12-0 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Allie Elliott was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Caydence Robey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Western's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Rossville, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Western has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Rossville struggles in that department as they've averaged .501. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Western was able to grind out a solid victory over Rossville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 6-1. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
