Belmont Hill is 9-0-1 against Milton Academy since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Sextants will face off against the Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. Belmont Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Belmont Hill needed a bit of extra time to put away Groton School. They won by a run and slipped past Groton School 6-5.

Belmont Hill got a great performance from Nick Fantasia as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cooper Tarlie, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Cam Kelley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Belmont Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Milton Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Buckingham Browne & Nichols on Friday as they made off with a 9-3 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Mustangs have posted against the Knights since May 21, 2016.

Milton Academy pushed their record up to 2-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Belmont Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Belmont Hill skirted past Milton Academy 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sextants since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
