Audriana Anglada made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Anglada was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Annie Jimenez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Josie Barden was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Horizon Honors always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Desert Christian only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Arizona Lutheran Academy's offense. They lost 10-0 to Heritage Academy on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Coyotes in their meetings with the Heroes: they've now lost nine in a row.
Horizon Honors' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Horizon Honors hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .463. However, it's not like Arizona Lutheran Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .419. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
