Baseball Recap: Mendon Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mendon extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 7-4. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Camden-Frontier Redskins. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Camden-Frontier, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 3.25 runs.

For Camden-Frontier's part, Braxton Gary was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Coming up, Mendon will square off against Colon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Camden-Frontier, they will face off against Concord at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.85 runs per game on average), something the Redskins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
