If the Pleasanton Bulldogs were feeling good off their 65-35 takedown of the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pleasanton suffered a rough 49-26 loss at the hands of Shelton on Tuesday. Pleasanton lost against Shelton in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-35 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Pleasanton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tyra Sekutera. Despite the final result, she scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Natalie Rasmussen, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Pleasanton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Shelton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasanton will take on Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Shelton, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Kenesaw at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Kenesaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
