Josh Stilley threw for four touchdowns as
Hough (Cornelius, N.C.) defeated
North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, N.C.) 37-14 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Tylan Murrell touchdown run in the first quarter, the Huskies led 34-0 at the half.
Hough scored 21 points in the second quarter on the way to a win. Three times in the quarter HHS found the end zone through the air, including one reception by
corey Sutton.
Stilley was the top performer for the Cornelius school. The senior quarterback threw four touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Huskies had given up an average of 16.4 points prior to the contest.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 33-0 win for Hough.
The win brought Hough's winning streak to three games.
In a 4A Conference 5 game next week North Mecklenburg (4-6) takes on Mallard Creek, and Hough (9-1) will go up against Vance also in a 4A Conference 5 game.
