After flying high against West Shamokin last Friday, Penns Manor came back down to earth. The Comets lost 38-14 to the Homer-Center Wildcats on Friday. Even if they lost, Penns Manor's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Lewis was the leader with two.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Homer-Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Arone, who rushed for 84 yards and one TD, and also threw for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Arone a new career-high in passer rating (156.3). Homer-Center's leading receiver Riley Cobaugh was Arone's top target yet again, picking up 131 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Penns Manor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Homer-Center, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
