There's no place like home for the North Kissimmee Christian Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 87-71 win over Christian Learning Academy on Tuesday. Given North Kissimmee Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Christian Learning Academy is ranked 696th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Izaiah Noel, who shot 6-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 36 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Pourchons Morisseau, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
North Kissimmee Christian pushed their record up to 21-5 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.9 points per game. As for Christian Learning Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
North Kissimmee Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Nazaret Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Learning Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Heritage Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Christian Learning Academy likes a good challenge.
