With a playoff win on the line, Coosa Valley Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Jackson Academy Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won 14 matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jordin Rogers was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Sam Setzer was another key player, earning two RBI and two runs.

Coosa Valley Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-20. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-6 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Coosa Valley Academy beat the Eagles by a score of 20-4 on Wednesday.
