
Zoe Casas led Aquinas to the Southern Section Division 5 title with a .663 batting average. For that she is the MaxPreps California Small Schools Softball Player of the Year.

Zoe Casas, who has committed to Florida State, scored in all but one of Aquinas' (San Bernardino) games en route to a 26-2 title-winning season. In all, she scored 50 runs and drove in 30.
Casas, who led the Falcons to the CIF-SS D-5 title and was the CIF Player of the Year, batted .663 (63 for 95). She belted 11 doubles, eight triples and a pair of home runs and did not strike out in 109 plate appearances. She also stole 16 bases.
Casas, a sophomore, has been named the MaxPreps Small Schools Softball Player of the Year.
Small schools all-state players are chosen from schools that compete in enrollment divisions generally below 1,000 students.

May had a 1.60 ERA, 240 strikeouts in 214 innings and batted .369 with 40 RBIs. She has signed with Texas Western University.
P - Courtney Cuzick, Nipomo, SeniorA four-year starter, Cuzick led the Titans to a 20-6 record this season. As a senior, she recorded 267 strikeouts and allowed 28 walks while posting a 0.69 ERA with an 18-6 record. She's this year's Tribune County Player of the Year. She will play at Penn.
P - Alyssa Stockton, Delhi, SophomoreStockton averaged more than two strikeouts per inning (325 in 158 innings) and posted a 1.91 ERA and an 18-8 record. She also batted .371 with 19 RBIs. She was named the Southern Athletic League's top defensive player.
P - Sophia Garcia, Colusa, JuniorGarcia
led the Redhawks to a 27-6 record and a quarterfinal run in the CIF
playoffs with a 25-win season and struck out 306 batters in 188 innings.
She posted a 1.15 ERA.
P - Allie Hotetz, Aquinas (San Bernardino), SophomoreThis
team had everything and Hotetz gave it the pitching with a 25-1 record and a 1.28 ERA. Aquinas won the CIF Southern Section D-5
title. Hotetz won her final 24 games of the 2013 season.
P - Cassidy Vlot, Chowchilla, SeniorCo-MVP of the North Sequoia League did it all for the D-4 semifinalists, going 20-10 with a 0.97 ERA and 302 strikeouts in 197 innings, and hitting .457 with 14 doubles, four triples, four home runs, 27 runs and 26 RBIs. She will play for Calvin College.
P - Marissa Rendon, Fowler, SeniorWest Sequoia League MVP went 23-5 with a 1.70 ERA and 162 strikeouts in 176 innings inside the circle and hit .500 with 15 doubles, four home runs, 23 runs and 49 RBIs. Bound for Reedley College as a .369 hitter with eight homers and 117 RBIs in four varsity seasons.

Led Wildcats to Sac Joaquin Section D-6 title, winning 20 games and posting 0.85 ERA with 227 strikeouts in 164 innings. She also batted .519 with 42 RBIs and 20 extra base hits in 25 games.
P - McKenzie Draper, Rosamond, JuniorIn the circle, Draper was 22-4, 1.14 ERA, 203 strikeouts in 165 innings and hurled 11 shutouts. She batted .549 with 56 hits and 40 RBIs as Rosamond won 26 of 30 games.
P - Arizona Pilgrim, Taft, SophomoreEn route to a 1.29 ERA, 221 strikeouts in 141 innings and 21 wins, Pilgrim pitched 14 shutouts and led Taft to the Central Section D-4 title. Pilgrim drove in 25 runs and one of her five home runs came in the title game.
P - Clare Dunnegan, Redwood Christian (San Lorenzo), JuniorDunnegan led the Eagles to the section finals and 22-1 season with her only loss coming in the title game (5-4). In addition to going 20-1 with an 0.78 ERA in 108 innings, she also batted .403 with 33 runs scored.
C - Janell Wheaton, San Dimas, JuniorThe junior catcher hit .609 and had 39 RBIs to help the Saints to a 22-8 record and another Valley Vista League title. Wheaton also had 21 extra-base hits, with 12 doubles. She has committed to Florida.
C - Annie Aldrete, Santa Catalina (Monterey), SeniorA repeat all-county softball MVP, Aldrete was walked at least once a game and batted .435. She holds the county record for career home runs with 32. Despite the high number of intentional walks, she made the most of her 32 hits, driving in 34 runs while scoring 32 runs. She has signed with Tennessee.
C – Kristina Brown, Dixon, SeniorBrown batted .726 (.745 OBA), with 61 hits, 67 RBIs, and 27 extra base hits. She also struck out just once and scored 48 runs for the 21-7 Rams. Her slugging percentage was 1.333 and she was 20-for-20 in stolen bases. She has signed with Fisher College in Boston.
1B - Becca Bell, Burroughs (Ridgecrest), SeniorBell hit .480 with 14 home runs, 43 RBIs, and finished with a 1.133 slug pct. The All-CIF team pick has signed with Cal State Northridge.
1B - Sarah Phillis, Union Mine (El Dorado), SeniorPhillips
supplied the power for the Diamondbacks with a .676 batting average, 36
runs, 46 hits and 35 RBIs. She hit 13 doubles, four triples and seven
home runs in compiling a .707 OBP and a 1.294 slugging pct. She also
stole 19 bases.
IF - Anissa Lopez, University Prep (Victorville), FreshmanOnly a freshman, Lopez led University to a 22-3 season with a .662 batting average, 51 hits, 68 RBIs, 16 doubles, nine homers and 14-3 pitching record with 139 strikeouts in 99 innings.
IF - Jessica Valenzuela, Aquinas (San Bernardino), SeniorIn 28 games, Valenzuela collected 55 hits and 52 RBIs, while hitting, .556 and scoring 40 runs. She has signed with Bethune-Cookman.

Kooyman had a base hit in all but one Elliot game. She had two hits or more 16 times, and a dozen games with three hits or more. She scored 48 runs and when calculations were final, she batted .791 with 16 triples, 13 doubles, 56 RBIs and a 1.596 slugging pct.
IF - Ashley Torres, Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences (Granada Hills), SeniorTorres batted .818, scored 42 runs., drove in 45 and homered 18 times in 17 games. Also doubled nine times. OBA was .828, slugging was 2.000. Stole 30 bases in 30 attempts. She was 9-1 pitching with 128 strikeouts in 56 innings. Allowed only 20 hits.
IF - Sage Gomes, Etna, SophomoreGomes, the Shasta Cascade League's MVP, batted .543 with 69 hits, 42 RBIs, 42 runs, and was 21-22 in stolen bases as the Lions won 21 games and the league title.
IF - London Miller, Waterford, SeniorLed Waterford to Sac Joaquin Section title and in 21 games, totaled 41 hits, drove in 39 runs and stole 28 bases. She batted .683 (.734 OBP) and slugged 1.267.
OF - Zoe Casas, Aquinas (San Bernardino), Sophomore Casas batted .663 (63 for 95), stole 16 bases, scored 50 runs and drove in 30 runs in 28 games. She scored a run in all but one game Aquinas played this season in leading the Falcons to the CIF-SS D-5 title. Casas was the CIF Player of the Year and the San Bernardino Sun Player of the Year. She has committed to Florida State.
OF - Courtney Black, Madison (San Diego), JuniorThe
versatile Black led the 19-11 Warhawks in most offensive categories,
but most noticeably was driving in runs as she had 50 in 29 games. She
also batted .463 with an .817 slugging pct.
OF - Randi Wallace, Liberty (Madera), SeniorFleet-footed center fielder with a strong arm was selected All-NSL after hitting .395 with 13 doubles, 20 runs, 16 RBIs and 13 steals for league champion and D-4 runner-up Hawks. She has signed with Central Arkansas.
OF - Rachel Rivette, Frazier Mountain (Lebec), JuniorIn 23 games, Rivette batted .657 (.704 OBP), with 46 hits, 34 RBIs, 31 runs, and 34 stolen bases.
OF - Mia Acosta, Bellarmine-Jefferson (Burbank), JuniorAcosta was 16-3, with 1.68 ERA on the mound and .446 BA, 24 runs, and 38 RBIs at the plate.
OF - Ashlyn Morris, Citrus Valley (Redlands), JuniorLead CIF Southern Section D-6 champions to 27-2 record with .543 batting average, 51 hits, 40 runs, and 13 steals. Named San Bernardino County's Athlete of the Year for schools east of Interstate 15. She has signed with Iona.
UTIL – Jackie Frausto, Roosevelt (Fresno), SeniorAll-North Yosemite League catcher had an 18-game hitting streak during season that saw her bat .679 with seven doubles, four triples and 12 home runs among her 53 hits, with 47 runs and 57 RBIs. Will play for Fresno City College next season.

Co-CSL MVP powered Monarchs to the CIF Central D-5 championship by hitting .520 with eight doubles, six home runs, and 35 RBIs. She hit a homer in 10-2 win over Selma in the title game.
UTIL – Caitlyn Emberson, Taft, SophomoreIn helping the Wildcats to the Central Section D-4 title, Emberson batted .558 with 10 home runs and 54 RBIs.
UTIL - Jen Deiner, Mesa Grande Academy (Calimesa), JuniorDeiner led the Cardinals to a 20-4 season and the Southern Section D-7 title as she posted big numbers hitting and pitching. As a batter, Deiner batted .606, scored 34 runs and drove in 47. She had 31 extra base hits and posted a 1.352 slugging pct. As a pitcher, she was 17-2 and recorded 198 strikeouts in 119 innings.
