The Bowman Academy Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Michigan City Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Saturday, Bowman Academy ended up a good deal behind the Eagles and lost 57-42.
Despite their defeat, Bowman Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jamarie Pollard, who scored 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Tasean Gates, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Marquette Catholic scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Michigan City still came out on top. Michigan City took down the Blazers 71-55. Given Michigan City's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Blazers are ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bowman Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Michigan City, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Bowman Academy and the Wolves were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but the Eagles came up empty-handed after a 75-74 loss. Can Bowman Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
