Last Tuesday, Jonesville lost to the Golden Eagles on the road by a decisive 49-33 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jonesville in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Addison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 39-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hanover-Horton. While losing is never fun, Addison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 550th, while the Comets are ranked 215th).
Jonesville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Addison, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Jonesville took their victory against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 47-25. Will Jonesville repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
