Newton is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Claire Newton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
Louisiana Math Science & Arts' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-9.
