Volleyball Recap: Marlboro Academy Starts Season with Win Against Christ the Cornerstone Academy

Marlboro Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Marlboro Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 26-24.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlboro Academy will face off against Dillon Christian at 6:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
