The Wisdom Generals lost against the Milby Buffs back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wisdom took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Milby. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wisdom in their matchups with Milby: they've now lost five in a row.
Milby was led to victory by Delani Pestaina and Kobe Brown. Pestaina scored 17 points along with three steals, while Brown scored 15 points along with three steals. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Daniel Cantu, who scored six points.
Wisdom's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Milby, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Wisdom will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Forest on January 4, 2024. Milby and Jordan will round out the year against one another at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at. Jordan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Milby in Texas (Jordan is ranked 76th, while Milby is ranked 1192nd).
