Softball Recap: Pettisville Has No Trouble Against North Central

Pettisville won the last time they faced North Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blackbirds blew past the Eagles 12-2. The Blackbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Macy Hoylman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Hoylman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kelsey Bennett, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Miller, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Pettisville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Pettisville now has a winning record of 5-4. As for North Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
