If Winnebago were riding high off their 50-6 takedown of Homer last Friday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Winnebago took a hard 14-34 fall against Wisner-Pilger.
The defeat dropped Winnebago's record to 2-3. The victory bumped Wisner-Pilger's record up to 4-1.
Winnebago will look to defend their home turf next week against Omaha Nation at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup. As for Wisner-Pilger, they will face off against Homer. Wisner-Pilger will be strutting in after a win while Homer will be stumbling in from a loss.
