The Asheville Cougars had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-9 win over Enka at home. The result was nothing new for Asheville, who have now won three games by 37 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Asheville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nic Williams, who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Jones, who picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Asheville's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Enka, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Asheville will head out on the road to face off against Hough at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hough is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games. Enka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
