The Weiser Wolverines will challenge the Fruitland Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Weiser made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Parma, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Panthers on Friday. 17 seems to be a good number for the Wolverines as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Wyatt Black was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-6. He is becoming a predictor of Weiser's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-5-1 when he doesn't). Weston Black was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Wyatt wasn't the only one making solid contact: Weiser kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Fruitland put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Payette as they made off with a 16-3 win.
Coye Coffman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Owen Baker looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last five matches.
Back at the plate, Jameson George was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Bushong, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Fruitland's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Weiser, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6-1 record this season.
Weiser suffered a grim 15-1 defeat to Fruitland in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Wolverines have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
